about the band
   Tiger, Burning Bright is a modern jazz unit of Japan led by Tiger Onitsuka, widely known as the world's youngest jazz drummer listed in Guinness Book of the World Records. The unit has been invited to play for many jazz festivals and events throughout Japan and also on international stages of concerts and events in Asia and Europe.
   Current members are Yoshitaka Tsuji who has been highly praised for his passionate performance style with brilliant touch on the piano, and a young aspiring bassist Hiroyuki Demiya with talent in playing both traditional jazz on double bass and sharp rhythms of funk on electric bass.
   They play original tunes and standards as well as familiar melodies of pops and classical music arranged into various jazz styles with their unique interpretation and creativity. Always seeking the highest in possibilities in the art form called jazz, they never fail to show their sincere devotions in their approaches. Their music can be as hot as the brightest sun, sometimes being aggressive as the thunderbolts, and other times it shows the gentleness as delicate as the feathers. Their music is breathtakingly emotional and touchs deep inside the hearts of the audience, often bringing tears in their eyes.
Tiger, Burning Bright has been performed at the following festivals and events;
Seoul International Drum Festival (Seoul, Korea), Bread And Butter Fashion Trade Show (Barcelona, Spain), Tokyo Jazz Circuit
